SOG Personnel Killed, Colleague Injured After Official Vehicle Crashes Into Bailey Bridge In Budgam

Srinagar, Jul 17: A Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel was killed and another injured after their official vehicle crashed into the steel girder of a Bailey Bridge in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday, officials said. GeographicReference According to officials, the two SOG personnel were travelling in an official vehicle when the accident occurred, leaving both of them seriously injured. They were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared one of the personnel dead. The other is undergoing treatment. The deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Hanjura, while the injured personnel has been identified as Riyaz Ahmed. Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
