JAMMU, Aug 31: Tejinder Singh on Monday assumed charge as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, succeeding Bhim Sen Tuti.
A farewell-cum-welcome function was organised at the Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ), Jammu, to mark the transition and bid farewell to the outgoing IGP.
During the function, officers and personnel of the Jammu Zone appreciated Tuti’s leadership and contribution during his tenure. In his address, Tuti thanked the officers and police personnel for their cooperation, support and dedication during his tenure.
The gathering also conveyed its best wishes to Tuti for his new assignment and wished him success in his future responsibilities.
Tejinder Singh was formally welcomed by officers and personnel of the Jammu Zone. They expressed confidence in his leadership and wished him a successful and productive tenure.
The newly appointed IGP was assured of the full cooperation of the officers and personnel in carrying forward the policing responsibilities across the Jammu Zone.
The function concluded with the police personnel reaffirming their commitment to maintaining peace and security, strengthening law enforcement and ensuring effective policing across the region.
