DGP Prabhat Reviews Security for Shri Amarnathji Yatra with All Central Forces

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Saturday conducted an operational review meeting with all security formations deployed in the Union Territory, officials said. The review was attended by representatives of the Indian Army, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, CISF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police. According to officials, the meeting primarily focused on security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra, with an emphasis on coordination among various forces, route security, and crowd management. Senior officers assessed the overall security grid, deployment plans, and real-time coordination mechanisms to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the pilgrimage. Officials said the DGP stressed enhanced inter-agency synergy and preparedness to deal with any emerging security challenges during the Yatra. Further reviews are expected as the pilgrimage progresses.
