The searches were carried out in connection with FIR No. 45/1990 registered at Police Station Dooru regarding the killing of two persons in the Dooru area in 1990. The case is currently being investigated by the SIA.
Officials said the searches were conducted at the premises of suspects and other locations believed to be linked to the case. The operation was aimed at collecting documents, evidence and other material that could assist investigators in identifying and tracing the accused and reconstructing the sequence of events surrounding the killings.
The SIA Kashmir has been pursuing several long-pending militancy-related cases dating back to the 1990s as part of efforts to bring such investigations to their logical conclusion.
Officials said Wednesday’s searches were part of the agency’s ongoing investigation into the decades-old case.
