Jammu, 29 :Under Swachhata Abhiyan - 2026, Jammu Division is making continuous efforts to provide safe, clean and comfortable facilities to passengers at all its stations. In this direction, availability of safe and clean drinking water for passengers has been ensured at all railway stations of Jammu Division, including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Pathankot, Srinagar, Jammu and others.
Regular cleaning and maintenance of all drinking water points, water coolers and taps located at the stations is being carried out. To maintain the quality of drinking water, water is being tested from time to time and filters are being cleaned, so that passengers can get pure and hygienic drinking water at all times.
Under the Swachhata Abhiyan, cleanliness and hygiene of stations is being given top priority. A special cleanliness drive is being conducted to maintain cleanliness around the drinking water booths and the concerned staff have been instructed for regular monitoring.
The railway administration appeals to the passengers to use the drinking water facilities provided by the railways responsibly, not to misuse water and to extend their cooperation in keeping the station clean.
Jammu Division is committed to providing better facilities to passengers under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
