New Delhi, Aug 9 : The Delhi Police has arrested 22 people and seized around Rs 6.2 lakh in cash following a raid at an alleged gambling den in outer north Delhi, police said on Sunday.
The raid was conducted early Sunday at a building in Som Bazar in Mukundpur area, under Bhalswa Dairy police station, they said.
Acting on a tip-off regarding a gambling den operating from the premises, a police team cordoned off the building, sealing its entry and exit points before conducting a raid, police said.
The team apprehended 22 people, including two alleged operators who were intercepted while allegedly attempting to flee with cash, an official said.
Around Rs 6.2 lakh and betting-related material have been seized, the official added.
