CRPF Issues Show-Cause Notices to Eight Assistant Commandants Over ‘Skipping’ Official Lunch
NEW DELHI, Aug 6: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has issued show-cause notices to eight Assistant Commandant-rank officers for allegedly declining to attend an official working lunch hosted by a senior officer during a training programme, official sources said on Thursday.
According to sources, the officers, including one woman officer, were undergoing a technical training course at a CRPF camp in Madhya Pradesh about a month ago.
During the training, the force’s zonal head, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, hosted a working lunch for the officers. However, the eight Assistant Commandants allegedly declined to attend the event. SouthAsians & Diaspora
The CRPF headquarters subsequently issued show-cause notices to the officers, asking them to explain their decision, which has been viewed as an act of insubordination, sources said.
A senior CRPF officer said the force would examine the replies submitted by the officers before deciding on any further disciplinary action.
