CM Revanth Reddy compliments NIMS for completing 1,000 robotic surgeries
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday expressed delight that a team of doctors at the state-run NIMS hospital here had completed 1,000 robotic surgeries in two and a half years. The chief minister congratulated Rahul Devaraj, Director of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), the hospital's medical team, nursing staff, and the operation theatre team for the achievement of the extraordinary feat, an official release said. During the meeting with the NIMS Director, the CM said that the state government's resolve to make state-of-the-art medical services accessible to common people in government hospitals has been fulfilled. CM Revanth Reddy commended the NIMS hospital management for performing over 90 per cent of the robotic surgeries free of cost through the Arogya Sri scheme and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund ( CMRF). Noting that the NIMS had recently completed 2,000 kidney transplant surgeries, the chief minister highlighted that the hospital has now set a new record by reaching the milestone of 1,000 robotic surgeries. Reddy expressed his hope that NIMS would achieve many more milestones.
