CJP Protest: Activist Couple Held Outside Vijayvargiya’s Indore Home
Indore, Jul 22 : Police on Wednesday detained a social worker and his wife for allegedly staging an unauthorised protest in front of Madhya Pradesh cabinet minister Kailash Vijayvargiya’s residence in Indore in solidarity with the CJP agitation. The minister was not present at his residence in the Nanda Nagar area as he was attending the monsoon session of the assembly in Bhopal. Pardeshipura police station in-charge RD Kanwa said the couple was protesting in front of the minister’s home without permission and could have caused chaos on the public road. “They have been detained and are being questioned,” he added. Activist Prahlad Pandey and his wife, Sangeeta Pandey, had reached outside Vijayvargiya’s home in support of the ongoing student protest in Delhi, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG exam. When asked about the reason for the demonstration, Prahlad Pandey told reporters that Vijayvargiya had made inappropriate comments about the students involved and called the CJP protest sponsored. Amid high drama and arguments, the couple was taken away by the police in a vehicle, eyewitnesses claimed.
