Guwahati, Sept 19: An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 struck parts of the Northeast on Saturday evening, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The epicentre of the earthquake was located around 3 km from Gyelpozhing in Bhutan, at a depth of 5 km, the NCS said.
The tremors were felt in Guwahati and other parts of the northeastern region.
The earthquake occurred at around 4:01 pm. No damage or casualties had been reported so far, according to the NCS.
