Students' voices have been heard, it’s our victory: MLA Tanvir Sadiq

Srinagar, Jul 25: National Conference (NC) Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq on Saturday described the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a victory for students, saying their voices had finally been heard after sustained protests over the NEET paper leak issue. Reacting to Pradhan's resignation, Sadiq said the development reflected the strength of the students' movement and their determination to seek accountability. "Students' voices have been heard; this is their victory," he said. Saluting the students for their peaceful struggle, Sadiq urged the Central government to ensure that the concerns and demands of the student community are addressed without delay. "I salute the students and urge the Central Government to ensure their needs are fulfilled," he said. The NC leader also termed the agitation an "organic protest", asserting that it was driven by genuine public concern and received widespread support from people across the country. "It was an organic protest, and everyone supported it," Sadiq said. Pradhan resigned earlier in the day amid nationwide protests over the NEET paper leak controversy, with several political parties and student organisations describing the move as a major victory for students demanding accountability in the examination system.
