Several Feared Dead After Passenger Vehicle Plunges into Gorge in Doda

DODA, Jul 25: Several people are feared dead after a passenger vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Saturday, officials said. Soon after the accident, police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel and local volunteers rushed to the spot and launched a large-scale rescue operation. The injured were evacuated and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, while rescue teams continued efforts to retrieve victims from the gorge.
