Pakistani Drone Shot Down, Recovered by Army in Jammu’s Khour
Jammu: Army troops on Friday recovered a suspected Pakistani drone after bringing it down during an operation in Chakla village of the Khour sector in Jammu district, officials said.
According to official sources, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was spotted hovering over Chakla village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station Khour. On detecting the drone, troops of the Gorkha Rifles opened fire, forcing it to descend.
The drone was subsequently recovered by the Army, and the area was immediately secured to facilitate further examination.
Security agencies have launched an investigation to determine the drone's origin, intended purpose and technical specifications. Officials said the recovered UAV will undergo forensic and technical analysis as part of the probe.
