Udhampur: A grand Tricolour Bike Rally was organised in Udhampur today to mark the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The rally commenced from Nand Palace, Udhampur, and culminated at Domail Chowk, with a large number of participants joining the celebration carrying the national flag.
The rally was led by MLA Chenani-Ghordi Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia. The event witnessed participation from various non-political organisations, NGOs, trade bodies, women’s groups and student organisations, reflecting broad public participation in the programme.
Among the organisations participating were Dogra Kranti Dal NGO, Team Khalsa, Vyapar Mandal Udhampur, Chamber of Commerce & Industries, along with women and student organisations and other social groups.
The streets of Udhampur witnessed a vibrant display of the Tiranga, with participants riding motorcycles and raising patriotic slogans during the rally. The programme concluded at Domail Chowk, where participants gathered to mark the occasion and convey their greetings on the Prime Minister’s birthday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia said that the participation of people from different sections of society reflected their enthusiasm for the occasion and the spirit of patriotism and national unity.
The organisers expressed gratitude to all the NGOs, organisations, traders, women, students and citizens who participated in the rally and contributed to making the programme a large public gathering.
