J&K Police Intensifies Security In Samba With Patrols, Search Operations

Jammu, Jul 19: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday conducted an extensive security exercise and area domination patrol in the Ghagwal border belt of Samba district as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public safety and maintain operational preparedness. According to an official spokesperson, the operation, led by an Additional Superintendent of Police, covered a three-kilometre stretch from Nonath to Tapyal. The exercise began with a coordinated patrol during which Road Opening Party (ROP) personnel were briefed on their assigned responsibilities. To enhance tactical readiness, a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO)-cum-room intervention exercise was carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG), Samba, and the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) Quick Reaction Team (QRT). Following the exercise, security personnel conducted surprise vehicle checks at a strategic location, intercepting and inspecting several vehicles in accordance with established security protocols. Police said such area domination patrols, tactical exercises, CASOs and surprise checking drives will continue on a regular basis to maintain a strong security environment, deter anti-national and criminal elements, and ensure the safety of the public in the district.
