Jammu: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) received 35,000 earthen lamps provided by J&K BJP OBC Morcha President Brahm Jyot Satti and 11,000 diyas provided by BJP District Jammu Refugee Cell Convener Sanjeev Gupta at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, as part of the preparations for the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme under the month-long ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ being organized to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17.
J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan and Rajiv Charak (Incharge of ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme), General Secretary Gopal Mahajan (Incharge of ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’), MLAs Yudhvir Sethi, Mohan Lal Bhagat, Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, Devyani Rana, Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta, and others were also present on the occasion.
Sat Sharma, speaking on the occasion, said that the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme reflects the deep bond between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of the country and provides an opportunity for citizens to express their blessings and good wishes for his continued service to the nation.
“On September 17, between 6 PM and 7 PM, people across the country will light the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ in their homes as a symbol of gratitude, affection and blessings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I appeal to every family to become a part of this nationwide initiative and make it a powerful expression of public participation,” said Sat Sharma.
Sharma further said that Prime Minister Modi has dedicated his public life to the service of the nation and has provided a new direction to India through decisive leadership, development-oriented governance and welfare initiatives. He said the birthday celebrations have deliberately been transformed into a month-long Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan, keeping the spirit of service, social responsibility and public participation at its core.
“Let us all come together to make this campaign a true example of Jan Bhagidari and take a collective resolve for ‘Viksit Bharat till 2047’. Through the light of every diya, let us pray for the good health, long life and continued strength of Prime Minister Narendra Modi so that he may continue to lead the nation towards greater progress and prosperity,” Sat Sharma said.
Sat Sharma appreciated Brahm Jyot Satti, Sanjeev Gupta and the OBC Morcha and Refugee Cell teams for contributing thousands of diyas and actively supporting the Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan.
The BJP President asked party workers to ensure maximum participation of people and make the September 17 programme a visible expression of collective commitment towards a Viksit Bharat.
