DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews J&K Security Situation With Police, CAPF Officers

SRINAGAR, Aug 13: Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir Nalin Prabhat on Thursday chaired a hybrid operational review meeting with senior officers of the J&K Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to assess the security situation across the Union Territory.

The meeting focused on reviewing the prevailing operational and security scenario and strengthening coordination among various security agencies.

Senior officers from different formations of the J&K Police participated in the meeting along with senior CAPF officers. The hybrid format enabled officers posted at different locations across Jammu and Kashmir to join the review simultaneously.

During the meeting, the DGP assessed the operational preparedness of security forces and stressed the need for close inter-agency coordination, effective intelligence sharing and sustained vigilance at the field level.

The officers also reviewed ongoing security measures and operational requirements in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

DGP Nalin Prabhat emphasised the importance of maintaining a high level of operational readiness and ensuring seamless coordination among all security formations to effectively address emerging security challenges.

The participation of senior officers from the J&K Police and CAPFs highlighted the importance of joint efforts and coordinated operations in maintaining peace and security across the Union Territory.
