Army conducts community interaction with members of Gujjar, Bakkarwal communities

POONCH: The Indian Army conducted a community interaction with members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities at Hill Kaka on Tuesday, reaffirming its commitment to fostering mutual trust and strengthening civil-military relations in the region. The outreach programme was attended by 10 community members and provided a constructive platform for open dialogue on matters affecting the local population. During the interaction, participants shared their views and highlighted welfare concerns, daily challenges and issues related to development and basic amenities. Representatives of the Indian Army assured the community of continued cooperation and support in addressing genuine concerns within available resources. They also emphasised the importance of maintaining peace, harmony and close coordination between the local population and security forces. The participants appreciated the Indian Army’s outreach initiative and acknowledged its continued efforts towards community welfare and regional development. They expressed their willingness to remain engaged through regular dialogue and constructive cooperation, stating that such interactions would further strengthen confidence, understanding and lasting harmony in the area and promote inclusive growth across remote communities nearby
