ADC Billawar Holds Block Diwas at Nagrota Gujroo; Hears Public Grievances
BILLAWAR, JULY 8: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Billawar, Vishavjeet Singh (JKAS) today presided over a Block Diwas at the Forest Guest House, Nagrota Gujroo, where he heard and redressed the grievances of the general public. During the programme, former PRI members and public representatives from Salore raised the issue of frequent power cuts, while residents of Kached Panchayat projected the shortage of drinking water and demanded better road connectivity. Giving a patient hearing, the ADC assured the public that all genuine grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner. He directed the AEE, PDD, to submit a detailed report on the power supply issue for projection at the higher level. The AEE, Jal Shakti Department, was asked to inspect the water-deficit area and submit a report, while PWD officials informed that the proposed road in Kached has already been included in the department's proposed projects. The ADC directed them to pursue the matter for its early execution. Officers of the concerned departments sensitized the public about Mission YUVA, Agriculture and Horticulture schemes, VB-G RAM G, Social Welfare schemes and PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, urging them to avail the benefits of these initiatives. The ADC stressed greater inter-departmental coordination for prompt redressal of public grievances and appealed to the people to actively participate in government programmes and welfare schemes. As part of the "Ek Ped, Nashe Ke Virudh" campaign, the ADC distributed saplings among the participants and planted a tree to promote environmental conservation and a drug-free society. The programme was attended by Divisional Forest Officer Billawar Indu Sharma, Tehsildar Ramkot Jeetinder Singh, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Ravi Sharma, besides officers and officials of various departments of Sub-District Billawar.
