4.4-Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Nepal’s Rolpa District
KATHMANDU, Aug 3: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck western Nepal’s Rolpa district early Monday, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre. The quake occurred at 3:07 am near Iriwang Rural Municipality in Rolpa district of Lumbini Province. Tremors were also felt in the neighbouring districts of Salyan, Rukum and Pyuthan. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property, officials said.
