2 Shells Found Near IB In Samba

Jammu, July 15: Security forces recovered a Multi Grenade Launcher (MGL) shell and a 51 mm illuminator shell near the International Border in the Ramgarh sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Wednesday, officials said. According to officials, the unexploded shells were spotted by local residents on the banks of the Devika River, who promptly alerted nearby police and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel. A joint team of the BSF and police rushed to the spot, secured the area, and called in the Bomb Disposal Squad. The explosives were later safely defused, ensuring there was no threat to public safety. Authorities are investigating how the shells reached the area.
