SRINAGAR, Aug 22: Several public representatives and industrial sector representatives on Saturday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his Raabita office here and discussed various issues of public importance.
Rajya Sabha MPs Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan and Gurwinder Singh Oberoi met the Chief Minister and discussed matters concerning the public.
MLAs Zafar Ali Khatana of Kokernag and Choudhary Mohammad Akram of Surankote also called on Omar Abdullah and apprised him of issues related to their respective constituencies.
A delegation of the Federation Chamber of Industries, Kashmir (FCIK), led by its president Shahid Kamili and comprising former president Shakeel Qalander and General Secretary Afaq Ahmad, also met the Chief Minister.
The delegation raised key concerns facing the industrial sector and discussed measures to promote local production, support businesses and boost economic activity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Several other individuals and delegations also met the Chief Minister and apprised him of various grievances and issues.
Omar Abdullah heard the representatives and discussed the matters raised during the meetings.
