Mehbooba interacts with youth PDP members, scholars, students

SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti held an interaction with young scholars, students and youth members of Youth PDP engaging with them on their concerns, aspirations and perspectives on the future of Jammu and Kashmir.

During the interaction, Mehbooba listened to the issues and challenges being faced by the younger generation and discussed their expectations regarding education, employment, social development and opportunities.

The meeting provided a platform for young participants to share their views and raise matters concerning their academic and professional futures, as well as the broader social and economic environment in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mehbooba emphasised the importance of maintaining an open dialogue with young people and understanding their aspirations while formulating policies and programmes for the region. She said the younger generation has an important role to play in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir.

The PDP chief also heard the participants’ perspectives on the challenges confronting youth and the need for greater opportunities to enable them to contribute meaningfully to society.

The interaction was described as a meaningful conversation focused on the hopes, concerns and aspirations of young people.

Mehbooba was accompanied by PDP MLA from Budgam Aga Syed Muntazir and her daughter and PDP leader Iltija Mufti.

The meeting comes amid continuing discussions in Jammu and Kashmir over the concerns of young people, particularly relating to education, employment and their role in the region’s future.

The participants welcomed the opportunity to directly share their perspectives with the PDP president and discuss issues affecting their generation.

The interaction also highlighted the importance of engaging with students, scholars and youth members to better understand their expectations and concerns.

The PDP leadership said such interactions help strengthen communication with the younger generation and provide an opportunity to hear their views on the challenges and opportunities ahead.

The meeting concluded with discussions on the need to create a supportive environment where young people can pursue education, build careers and contribute to the social and economic development of Jammu and Kashmir
