Kejriwal Challenges BJP To Compare Schools In Punjab, Gujarat, Alleges Use Of AI Videos

NEW DELHI, Aug 25: Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday challenged the BJP to compare 1,000 government schools each in Punjab and Gujarat, while alleging that the BJP was using “doctored, AI videos” to defame schools in Punjab.

In a video message, Kejriwal said he would provide a list of 1,000 schools in Punjab and asked the BJP to provide a similar list from Gujarat for a joint inspection, with the media covering the exercise.

“I challenge the BJP: You have been in power in Gujarat for 30 years, and we have been in power in Punjab for four and a half years. Let us inspect these schools together and see which ones are better,” he said.

The former Delhi Chief Minister accused BJP governments of targeting Punjab’s government schools instead of improving educational infrastructure in their own states.

Kejriwal claimed that Punjab has around 19,700 schools, of which work has already been completed in about 19,200. He said improvement work was underway in the remaining schools and would be completed within the next one-and-a-half to two years.

He also claimed that Punjab’s school education system had improved significantly since the AAP came to power in 2022, when, according to him, the state ranked 28th.

Kejriwal credited teachers, principals, parents and students for the improvement in government schools, saying the transformation was a collective effort of the people of Punjab.
