Jammu Sep 11 : Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, Jammu Rural Police apprehended two persons and recovered approximately 4.73 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak.
A police party of Police Station Kanachak, during checking, apprehended two persons identified as:
Vishal Sharma S/o Somnath Sharma R/o Jandial Thathi.
Sushil Sharma S/o Ashok Kumar Sharma R/o Jandial Thathi.
During their search, approximately 4.73 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, FIR No. 162/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachak.
The vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02BT-0136, allegedly used in the commission of the offence, has also been seized. Further investigation is underway.
