Colombo, Aug 23 : India lost their openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (45) and KL Rahul (18) to reach 88 for two at lunch on the first day of their second Test against Sri Lanka here on Sunday.
The first wicket fell in the form of Rahul who was caught behind off Lahiru Kumara, while Asitha Fernando got through Jaiswal’s defence.
Jaiswal struck 45 off 53 balls with nine fours.
Devdutt Padikkal (13 not out) and captain Shubman Gill (11 not out). were in the middle when lunch was taken.
