Health Minister Sakina Itoo Visits SKIMS, Reviews Care of Injured Amarnath Pilgrims
SRINAGAR, Jul 28: Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Tuesday visited the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, to review the treatment of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims injured in the recent road accident in Ganderbal district. During her visit, the Minister interacted with the injured pilgrims and enquired about their health and recovery. She also reviewed the medical care being provided by doctors and hospital authorities, directing officials to ensure the best possible treatment and all necessary assistance for every patient. Sakina Itoo held discussions with the attending doctors and medical staff to assess the ongoing treatment and expressed satisfaction with the efforts being made to provide quality healthcare to the injured devotees. Wishing the pilgrims a speedy recovery, the Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to extending every possible medical and logistical support to those affected by the accident. Several Amarnath Yatra pilgrims sustained injuries in the Ganderbal road mishap and are currently undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura under the supervision of specialist doctors.
