FBI Adds Goldy Brar to Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List, Announces $1 Million Reward

WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 29: The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has added gangster Satinderjeet Singh, alias Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and announced a reward of up to USD 1 million for information leading to his arrest.

According to the FBI, Singh is allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group, which authorities accuse of involvement in violent criminal activities in Southern California, across the United States and in Canada.

The FBI has warned that Singh should be considered armed, dangerous and an escape risk.

US authorities allege that Singh has been involved in a range of serious crimes, including assassinations, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, assaults and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons. The FBI describes him as an alleged leader of the group’s operations in North America.

The FBI said his inclusion on the Ten Most Wanted list reflects the US administration’s focus on tackling transnational organised crime.

US authorities are working with law enforcement agencies in Canada, Europe and Asia in efforts to locate and arrest Singh.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) also said that Goldy Brar and his alleged network have been linked to murders, shootings, threats, extortion, arson and drug trafficking.

On July 1, US authorities issued a federal arrest warrant for Singh in the US District Court for the Central District of California. He faces charges including conspiracy under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, conspiracy to interfere with commerce through extortion, attempted interference with commerce by extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances.

Singh was identified as one of the fugitives investigated during Operation Hardball, a long-running US investigation into India-based transnational organised crime groups.

In July, US authorities announced charges against 37 defendants allegedly linked to three such groups. According to the FBI, one of the indictments targeted the Bishnoi enterprise, with Singh allegedly identified as one of its leaders.

Investigators allege that Singh helped direct members and associates of the organisation operating across different countries.
