Gorakhpur (UP), Aug 26 : Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, will visit Mathabari village here on Thursday and interact with residents, students and local youth, officials said.
During the visit, the Air Force chief will seek to understand the aspirations, challenges and developmental needs of villagers, they said.
He is also scheduled to visit the Ramashray Gram Vikas Sansthan at Sakhi Mathabari, where he will review community development, welfare and self-reliance initiatives being undertaken in the region.
Air Chief Marshal Singh will visit Saraswati Gurukul and interact with students and teachers. He is expected to encourage the students to pursue education with discipline, hard work and self-confidence, while motivating them to contribute positively to society and nation-building, the officials said.
He will also engage with local youth to learn about their career aspirations, opportunities and challenges, and urge them to channel their talent and energy constructively and remain committed to their goals.
The visit will provide an opportunity for informal interactions between the Air Force chief and villagers, allowing residents to share their experiences and concerns.
The outreach is expected to strengthen ties between the armed forces and local communities, they said.
The visit is being described as a significant occasion for the region as it marks the first known visit by the chief of an armed force to a remote village in Gorakhpur, the officials said.
